Create custom homepages for your teams

Tags

To allow mobile users to quickly access relevant elements, you can customize and organize the mobile application's homepage according to the teams, thanks to shortcuts. By clicking on one of the pre-configured shortcuts, users will be able to access filtered lists of jobs, assets, or documents, and will soon be able to perform certain actions with a single click (scan an item, open a document or a specific asset...).

Once dropped on the phone screen, the shortcut must be configured. For the "Filtered elements" shortcuts, you can :

  • Customize the color of the shortcut.
  • Add a custom icon.
  • Display an item counter. Once on the mobile application, the number of items returned will be displayed on the top right of the shortcut. (You can set up to 10 shortcuts with counter).

1.2. Customize the display style

You can also set the display format of the assets in the format item list or Map display. As a shortcut, the item list will display only the 4 first assets. The map will display the assets according to their geographical positions. It is necessary that the value of the attribute "GBS coordinates" is filled in so that this data is displayed in the home page.

2. Assignment of teams

To make the homepage visible, we need to define which teams can access it. Go back to the list of home pages. Click on "..." of the newly configured home page, then click on "Assign teams".

image

Select the teams that will have access to the home page by checking them. To unselect a team, uncheck the checkbox.

image

Several teams can have access to the same homepage but a team can only have access to one homepage. If you try to assign a homepage to a team that already has a homepage, you will be notified by the yellow icon to the right of the team's name. The old homepage will then be replaced by the new one.

3. Display on the application

Once the homepage is configured and assigned, you can test it by going to the Ermeo mobile or web-app (make sure you are in the right team to access it).

Here, the shortcut "Defects to check" redirects the user to the list of the two elements corresponding to the filter.

💡
Note Once entered in a shortcut of type list of resources (and soon of type list of jobs), assets can be displayed in cartographic format if they have attributes of type GPS coordinates.

Update of the new homepage on the mobile application:

The new homepage will be visible the next time the page is refreshed.

The feature is available in offline mode. For the new homepage to appear, it will also be necessary to wait for the first synchronization (indicated by the banner at the bottom of the page).

4. Updating a homepage that has been published on the application

Once a homepage has been published, it is necessary to create a new version of the homepage in order to perform the changes. To do this click on "...", then on "Create a new version".

image

Make the desired changes on the draft version of the homepage. Once the page is ready, click on "Push changes".

image

To view a published version of the homepage (the one visible on the mobile application by users), click on "...", then "View published version".

image

5. Deactivating a home page

If you want the teams assigned to a homepage to temporarily return to the standard Ermeo homepage, you can deactivate the homepage by clicking on "...", then "Deactivate". To reactivate the homepage click on "Activate".

image

The logo at the top left "Play" in green, "Pause" in gray, tells you that the home page is active or inactive respectively.

6. Changing the default homepage

  • Before creating custom homepages, the standard Ermeo homepage is used "By default". It applies to all users of the application.
image
  • Once your custom home pages are configured, the default home page applies:
    • To users in the application who do not have access to a custom homepage
    • To users in multiple teams

It is possible to transform a custom home page into a "Default home page". To do so, click on "..." then "Use as default".

image

NB: Team assignments to the page will be removed but teams that were seeing this custom page will still see it as it becomes the "default custom page".

To return to the standard Ermeo default home page, click on "...", "Use default".

7. Add a custom logo to each homepage

To make it easier for you to identify the different homepages you have created, you can give them a custom logo.

💡
Note The personalised home page only appears for users who belong to a single team. (If a user belongs to at least two teams, they will only see the default Ermeo home page).
