1. What is the Preview widget?
The Preview widget allows the operator to view the report in PDF format during the intervention. Only the filled fields will be displayed.
The Preview widget is found within your editing studio, in the Workflows category.
2. How to configure a Preview widget in practice?
Within the settings, you only need to choose the report template that will be displayed to the operator.
If customized report templates have been imported into the form, then you can choose it within the options of this block. Otherwise, the Ermeo template will be chosen by default.
If the Ermeo template is chosen, you can also choose whether or not to display certain data such as the user’s name, the entry time.
Context: Imagine a form that should allow its operator to view reports before finishing the intervention. The form will have a customized Excel report template.
So, I will need to choose this customized report template in the settings of the Preview widget.
a. In a form, drag and drop the Preview widget.
b. In the settings, choose the "Customized Excel report" template.
c. After this block, you can place a Finish and Send widget.
d. Launch an intervention. Fill in the data at the beginning of the intervention. The report template is displayed to the operator. Only the filled fields will be displayed.
- It’s not possible to use the Preview widget inside a repeatable section.
- Generating the report requires the operator's device to have a network connection, even if offline mode is activated.
