1. What is the Preselection block?
The Preselection block widget allows a supervisor to predefine a resource for their operator before the start of an intervention.
Thus, during their intervention, the operator will already know which resource they will be working on and can prepare in advance.
The Preselection block is found within your editing studio, in the Databases category.
With this block widget, your operator will not have to choose which resource to work on. You make this choice yourself to facilitate their intervention. The information provided by your operator will then update the data concerning the predefined resource.
2. How to practically preselect resources?
Within the settings, you only need to choose the predefined resource for your operator. This resource must be created beforehand. You can only predefine one resource at a time.
Context: Imagine a company that needs to inspect a site containing multiple resources. As a supervisor, I want my operator to inspect Engine 45.
I will need to predefine this resource named Engine 45 for the intervention.
2.1. How to ensure my operator does not have to choose a resource and that Engine 45 appears to them?
- In my form, drag and drop the Preselection block. Name it "Predefined Engine".
- In the settings, search for the equipment "Engine 45" using the search bar. This resource must have been created beforehand.
- Suppose I want to modify the "Brand" attribute of my equipment "Engine 45".
Within the Preselection block, include a Text block. Name it "Brand".
Link the block to a Text attribute named "Brand". Allow editing in the application.
- Launch an intervention. The Engine 45 equipment is predefined. You can fill in the information concerning this engine (here, the engine's brand).
2.2. How to automatically load data from my preselected resource?
Within the Preselection block, an option allows you to automatically load data for the preselected resource.
2.3. Ensuring the selected resource is the main resource of the intervention
Within the settings of the Preselection block, if you check the option "This resource is the primary resource of the intervention," then the preselected resource will be the main resource of the intervention.
- The Preselection block does not allow for the predefinition of multiple resources. If you want to predefine multiple resources, you must use the Automatic Selection block.
- The predefined resource must be created before the intervention. The operator will not be able to create it themselves.
