1. What is the PDF Brick used for?
The PDF widget is used to display a PDF file to your operator. This allows you to show a manual or any other PDF document to your operator.
The PDF widget is located in the Information category of your editing studio.
2. How to configure the PDF Brick in practice?
There are three modes of using the PDF widget :
1. Document
Choose this mode if you have already imported your PDF file onto the Ermeo platform.
You will then need to select the PDF file from the dropdown list.
2. File
Choose this mode if the file is on your computer.
You will need to browse your files and select the desired PDF file.
3. Online
Choose this mode if the file is online or hosted on a website.
You will need to copy and paste the hosting link of the PDF file. The hosting address must start with https://.
Regardless of the mode chosen, you can set the page on which the PDF file will open. Simply enter a number after the "Go to page" field.
Example: Let's insert a PDF Brick to include an instruction manual in the form. This manual is hosted on the user's computer and should open on page 8.
- Open your form and drag and drop a PDF Brick.
- Enter a title for the brick, for example: "Instruction Manual".
- In the settings, choose the "File" mode.
- Browse your files and select the instruction manual.
- Enter the number 8 so that the file opens directly on page 8.
- Launch an intervention. You can now view the PDF file during your interventions.
