1. What is the Barcode widget?
The Barcode widget is located in the Tasks category within your editing studio. The Barcode widget allows your operators to scan a barcode, QR code, or bleam code. If a resource has a Barcode-type attribute, you can associate its barcode with it.
2. Practically, how do I use a Barcode Block in my Ermeo form?
You can set a default value in your Barcode widget. A Barcode widget is often linked to a Barcode-type attribute.
Context: Imagine a company cataloging engines in factories. Each engine is characterized by a barcode. Therefore, each engine corresponds to a resource on the platform and will be characterized by a barcode. We will use the Barcode widget in our form.
- Drag and drop the Barcode widget into a Creation widget. Name it "Engine Barcode."
- Link the "Engine Barcode" widget to a previously created Barcode-type attribute.
- Publish the form and go to the application.
- After creating your resource, you can scan your barcode using the Barcode widget.
Notes :
In the Database tab, you can search by Barcode. The resource with the scanned barcode attribute will then appear.
