1. What is the A/B Choice Block?

The A/B Choice Block allows your operator to choose between two different responses. You can thus condition your form based on their answer.

The A/B Choice Block is located in the Tasks category within your editing studio.

2. How to Use an A/B Choice Block in My Ermeo Form?

Within the settings, you need to define the two different choices. It is mandatory to define these two choices. One of the two choices can be set as the default.

An option allows you to modify the display of these two choices. The option is called "Green/Red Buttons". In the application, the first choice will be displayed in blue and the second choice will be displayed in red.

Context: Imagine a company conducting inspections on engines. The operator needs to define whether they are working on synchronous or asynchronous engines. The Green/Red Button option will not be activated. Since the majority of faults are asynchronous, we will place the asynchronous choice as the default.

  1. Drag and drop the A/B Choice Block into your form. Name it "Engine Type".
  2. In the settings, specify the choices "Synchronous" and "Asynchronous". Select the Asynchronous choice as the default. The "green/red" buttons are not activated.
  3. Publish your form. The A/B Choice Block is visible with the Asynchronous choice selected by default.

Notes

  • The A/B Choice Block is different from the Yes/No Block in that both response values can be chosen as desired.
  • The A/B Choice Block is different from the Multiple Choice Block in that only two response choices can be specified.
