Apply display conditions on tasks

1. Configure the display condition?

Display conditions allow you to define the information and/or tasks that will be displayed during a job, based on one or more criteria. This has two main advantages:

  • An interactive form that adapts to the realities of the field and the needs of the operator.
  • Ensuring that only the tasks/information required for the job are communicated.

Display conditions are available on the platform, in the editing studio. To display them, simply click on the element whose display you want to condition, then on ‘Conditions’ at the bottom of your screen.

Previously, we talked about displaying an item according to one or more criteria. Below are the different possible conditions:

  • The simple condition:

I want to display the selected brick if the answer to question 1.1 is ‘No’.

  • Multiple dependent (And) conditions:

I want to display the selected brick if the answer to question 1.1 ‘is’ ‘No’ and if the answer to question 1.2 ‘is not’.

To add several mandatory conditions of the ‘and’ type, simply go to ‘Conditions’ and click on ‘+’.

  • Multiple independent conditions (Or):

I want to display the selected brick, if the answer to question

I want to display the selected brick, if the answer to question 1.1 ‘is’ ‘No’ or if the answer to question 1.2 ‘is not’ ‘Yes’.

To display the element if either condition is met. Simply click on "+ New set of conditions ’.

Limitation It is not possible to set a display condition on a brick contained within a model.

1.1. Example

An operator is going to work on a site to inspect an engine.

During the inspection, he is asked to indicate whether the engine is in order.

As a supervisor, I need to get more information (photos and comments) if the engine isn't compliant. I therefore include these tasks in my form. However, if the engine is compliant, these elements will not be used. So I'm going to use display conditions.

To set up simple display conditions for your photo brick and your comments:

  1. Click on the Text brick
  2. Click on ‘Conditions’ > ‘New set of conditions’.
  3. Display if the answer to the question ‘1 Does the engine comply? ‘is ‘No’.
  4. Repeat these actions on the photo brick.

2. Hide tasks

You can completely hide tasks (without conditions) for your operator to simplify the form. Simply click on the appropriate icon on each brick.
