The Mandatory to complete option is used to ensure that a task is actually carried out by the technician.
In order to be able to ‘Complete the task’, the operator will have to carry out the task.
Example: During an intervention, the technician must equip himself with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). To ensure that my technician is correctly equipped, I can insert an Action task ‘Wear PPE’ and make it mandatory.
1. How to make a task mandatory?
To make an action mandatory, all you have to do from the editing studio is click on the brick you want to make required and go to the “OPTIONS” tab on the right of your screen.
In the application, an indication is added to the Photo task to indicate that it is mandatory. If this task is not completed by the user, the form cannot be completed.
You can also tick the Compulsory box to see what happens next.
This hides the rest of the form until the task has been completed.
- In the editing studio, you can identify whether a task is ‘Must complete’ and/or ‘Must view next’, using the blue icons below.
- If tasks included in a repeatable section are mandatory, all these tasks in all occurrences must be completed on the application in order to complete the task.
